2011 lectures: Investing in stewardship

On Wednesday 9 November 2011, Paul Abberley, chief executive of Aviva Investors, joined CIMA and Tomorrow’s Company at their annual parliamentary reception at the House of Lords.

This prestigious event, introduced by Lord Haskel, forms a key part of the Tomorrow’s Value lecture series, and will be memorable for promoting a call for stewardship to bring about a renewed sense of purpose, help restore confidence and trust, and establish the basis for long-term value creation as the most effective route to recovery and future prosperity.

Lisa Buckingham, editor of the Financial Mail on Sunday, also made a keynote contribution. Lisa was recently awarded an OBE in the New Year's honours list for services to journalism and for her work in improving opportunities for women. The Financial Mail on Sunday is promoting its new investment stewardship campaign, which calls for small shareholders to be given a louder voice.
