FAQs Diploma in Islamic finance (CDIF)

The Diploma is comprised of the four certificates:
  • certificate in Islamic commercial law
  • certificate in Islamic banking and takaful
  • certificate in Islamic capital markets and instruments
  • certificate in accounting for Islamic financial institutions. 

How am I to be assessed on the CDIF?

Each of the four certificate assessments making up the CDIF comprise 40 multiple choice questions. The final assessment is at the end of the online learning for each certificate.

How long does the course take to complete?

Having been designed as a self-study programme, the qualification allows you to study at your own pace, online, on demand. We estimate it will take around 1-2 months to complete each module.

What is the pass park for each of the assessments?

The pass mark for the individual certificates and CDIF is 60%. 

Are there any exemptions to studying the CDIF?

There are no exemptions to studying the Diploma in Islamic Finance (CDIF). 

What are the entry requirements for enrolling onto the Diploma in Islamic finance?

There are no entry requirements for enrolling onto the Diploma in Islamic finance.

Are there any discounts available when enrolling onto the Diploma in Islamic finance?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any discounts for this qualification. However if you prefer, you can purchase the certificates separately at GBP219 each and purchase each one as and when you like to suit your circumstances.

Can I pay for the CDIF in instalments?

Unfortunately, you cannot pay for the Diploma in instalments. However you can purchase the individual certificates at GBP219 each. Successfully completing all four modules will lead to the award of the Diploma in Islamic finance. 

What are my job prospects in Islamic finance after completing the Diploma?

CIMA Islamic finance qualifications cannot guarantee any successful student a job in the particular area of study, but they do indicate to potential employers that you have the relevant knowledge, skills and expertise to be considered for a specific job.
