23 June 2022, London – The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (the Association), representing AICPA & CIMA, announced the winners of the ENGAGE EUROPE Finance Awards in a hybrid ceremony held at the Vox in Birmingham on 22 June 2022.
Sponsored by Sage, the ENGAGE EUROPE Finance Awards celebrate the achievements of AICPA’s & CIMA’s students, members and partners across Europe. They put the spotlight on individuals and teams who have done outstanding work to enhance the accounting and finance profession and build its future.

The ENGAGE EUROPE Finance Awards winners for 2022 are:
Rising star of the Year: Joseph Phillips, Deputy Principle, Weston College. This award goes to an individual who has up to 5 years of experience since qualifying, and who can give examples of outperforming their peer group, perhaps in terms of creating new initiatives or high achievements which have made notable contribution to their organisation.
Finance Leader of the Year: Duke Dayal, Chief Financial Officer, Santander UK. This award recognises a senior finance leader who has exemplary track record of delivering transformation, leadership, and outstanding performance.
Public Sector Team of the Year: National Citizen Service Trust. This is awarded to a public sector team which can demonstrate how it has embedded a culture of innovation and improvement to ensure it is continuously providing value for the wider public.
Small, Medium Enterprise of the Year: AFP Services Limited. This award goes to a business that can demonstrate outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination, as well as sound management accounting practices, resulting in sustainable growth and commercial success, that is exceptional for the size of the company.
The ENGAGE EUROPE Finance Awards event were part of the ENGAGE EUROPE conference, a learning and networking event for accounting and finance professionals across Europe, which took place on 22-23 June.
