AICPA & CIMA to hold APAC CXO Forum 2022 exploring drivers of growth and disruption for business in the new normal

22 September 2022, Colombo, Sri Lanka – The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, representing the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), will host its annual APAC CXO Forum 2022 – Thriving Amidst Global Challenges on 29 September 2022 at 5:30 pm (IST). Organised by the CIMA Member Development Committee in Sri Lanka under the guidance of Fadhil Jiffry, FCMA, CGMA and Damith Pallewatte, FCMA, CGMA, the event will be hosted for the first time both online and onsite in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

In these times of uncertainty, business leaders across the world face unprecedented pressure to help their organisations to not only survive, but to become more resilient, invest in new ways of doing business, and rethink how they can create long-term value for all stakeholders. The hybrid APAC CXO Forum 2022 – Thriving Amidst Global Challenges will bring together C-Suite executives and top business professionals in APAC to discuss the latest trends in business, improving their risk management strategies, gain insights on leading their organisations through disruption, and connect with like-minded professionals.

Speakers include:

  • Chandi Dharmaratne, Vice President Human Resources, Virtusa Corporation, who will explore the impact of the so-called “brain drain” on the economy and discuss how it could be used as an opportunity for innovation.

  • Dilhan C. Fernando, CEO, Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company, who will look at the opportunities and challenges faced by Sri Lankan businesses, and discuss the key opportunities and risks associated with global business expansion strategies.

  • Murtaza Jaferjee, CEO JB Securities and Chairman, Advocata Institute, who will talk about the ever-important topic of business capital, and provide insights on how businesses can create value for their stakeholders with the right capital mix.

  • Heminda Jayaweera, Board Member, TRACE Sri Lanka, who will cover the importance of business innovation to thrive in complex, ever-evolving business environments.

The APAC CXO Forum 2022 will also feature a panel discussion moderated by Nisthar Cassim, Founding Editor and CEO, Daily Financial Times (Daily FT) Sri Lanka. Drawing on the expertise and experience of the event’s speakers, he will seek to dive further into some of the questions raised during their presentations and give the audience the opportunity to ask questions to the panelists.
