The intensified cooperation between CIMA and ABSL aims to increase the competitiveness of the modern business services sector in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe

22 March 2021, Warsaw – The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL) signed a cooperation agreement on 18 March 2021. It aims to increase the importance of Poland and Central and Eastern Europe on the global map of modern business services and the development of employees and companies in the sector.

As part of the new project called Skills of the Future Academy 2021-2026, CIMA and ABSL will identify competency gaps in the modern business services sector and will work on implementing world-class solutions to address them. In the initial phase, the project will focus on identifying current and future competency gaps and then work will start on how to use this information for further cooperation.

“As part of deeper cooperation between CIMA and ABSL, we want to propose solutions for the sector that will help its employees develop key competencies to benefit both their own career and their companies, and in the long-term, wider civil societies and national economies across the region,” said Jakub Bejnarowicz, Regional Director for Europe Europe at CIMA.

“Bearing in mind the new challenges posed by the world after the coronavirus pandemic, we want to work closely together on the Skills of the Future Academy project, which was initiated to support employees of our sector in developing the skills they will need in a new reality,” added Paweł Panczyj, Managing Director Strategy and Partnerships at ABSL.
