The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is excited to announce a partnership with ITN Productions to produce a news and current affairs-style programme.
‘Data - Deluge and Decisions’ will focus on the importance of making good decisions in business to create long-term success. It will examine the key skills required of a modern day business leader and the benefits management accountants bring to ensure a successful and thriving business. The programme will also introduce – and encourage – professionals to obtain the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation.
In addition, ‘Data - Deluge and Decisions’ will explore how commercial enterprises are transforming and advancing society ever more radically, and how business leaders’ decisions have never before had such far-reaching implications. As the global economy is going through uncertain and tumultuous times, our societies require effective and coherent decision making and nowhere is this more imperative than in business.
Drawing upon ITN’s 60-year heritage and expertise in storytelling, the programme will play an important role in helping CIMA elevate awareness of management accounting and the important work of its members.
‘Data - Deluge and Decisions’ will premiere early November 2017. The programme will form part of an extensive communications campaign featuring CIMA members, thought leaders, government decision makers, as well as relevant journalists, writers and bloggers.
Andrew Harding, FCMA, CGMA, Chief Executive - Management Accounting, Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, said: “We are delighted to partner with ITN Productions on this project. Management accountants play a critical role in driving business forward through good decision-making. This programme affords us the opportunity to share that story with the global business community.”
Simon Shelley, Head of Industry News, ITN Productions, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants to produce a programme that will explore the value of management accountants, examining the modern day decision making and leadership that a management accountant brings to business and the impact it has. We’re excited to embark on this project and engage with key organisations and people dedicated to shaping businesses of the future. We hope to encourage more people to consider a career in management accountancy, and by bringing understanding to the profession ensure more talented management accountants are hired in the right positions.”
