About the speakers:
Andrew Harding, FCMA, CGMA, is Chief Executive – Management Accounting at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.
Andrew leads all management accounting activities for the Association, develops plans and strategies, manages relationships and delivers results for members. He is also focused on driving value for members, firstly by globalizing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Andrew is a Deloitte alumnus, having started his career in the mid-1980s as a trainee auditor. He progressed into training and development from there, and then began professional body work in 1991. He joined CIMA in 2009, originally as Executive Director for Global Markets, and became Managing Director in 2011– a position he held until 2016. Andrew served as Non-Executive Chairman of GTS Chemicals PLC, a Chinese company listed in London, from 2014 to 2016.
Andrew holds an MBA from Henley Business School at the University of Reading, and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol.
Fergal Foley, ACMA, CGMA, is Chair of CIMA Europe Regional Advisory Panel.
Fergal spent several years in electronic proprietary financial trading, specialising in European equity index and bond futures. A role in treasury management followed with CIT Group Inc. comprising of liquidity management for the company’s European operations. He then entered the leasing business, initially compiling reporting analytics for various leasing portfolios. He is currently a member of the European operations management team for Dell Bank International D.A.C, with responsibility for the profitability of the bank’s leasing portfolio and managing the bank’s lease residual value exposure.
Fergal has a BA in Mathematics, Economics and Statistics from University College Dublin, a post-graduate diploma from the Smurfit School of Business and the trader examinations of Deutsche Bank’s Eurex Exchange. Fergal is one of the first passed finalists to date to have sat the new CIMA professional syllabus in its entirety, an experience he hopes will enable him to provide valuable feedback and input at European board sessions.
