Future of Finance

Join us for this exclusive Future of Finance meeting with CIMA President

On 8 March 1919 Lord Leverhulme created CIMA – a body of professional management accountants. Being the founder of Unilever he wanted accountants to be forward looking and having the foresight in managing and driving businesses.

Nearly a 100 years has passed and we are asking now: what does that future look like? what role will management accountants play in a business setting? what will business settings even look like going forward?

We conducted a research that involved interviews with 300 people in 130 organisations across 14 countries. Roundtables were held in over 20 countries, and online surveys conducted with more than 4,500 members and students. And now we want to share the results with you to give you an opportunity to explore and rethink new strategies around finance, operations and human resources.

On this occasion we will moderate panel discussion on competencies of the future with senior finance professionals and officially launch the CGMA Centre at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Düsseldorf, a platform where CIMA students, members, German professionals and other stakeholders can meet, network and debate. This will also be a great opportunity to hear about plans for CIMA development in Germany from newly appointed business development manager for Germany and regional director for Europe.
