    The value of CGMA

CIMA is a great alternative to university. There are no entry requirements for the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting so you can start studying right now, no degree necessary. Plus, part-time options mean you can study alongside work and earn while you learn, so you don’t have to put your life or job on hold while you qualify.

As an AAT student or member, you can take the next step in your career and start studying for a globally recognised CIMA qualification any time. Depending on how far into your studies you are, you could be exempt from five CIMA exams, meaning you’ll qualify sooner. And if you already have your AAT qualification, you’ll get a 50% discount on full AAT membership while you study with CIMA, giving you access to free events and courses, discounts and online learning materials.

Whatever your degree subject, you can study CIMA now, whether you’re still at university or you’ve already graduated. Boost your undergraduate degree – and CV – with the CIMA qualification, recognised and valued by businesses around the world. If you’ve got a relevant degree in business or accounting, you might be able to skip past the entry-level Certificate in Business Accounting and start with the Professional Qualification, saving time and getting your career started sooner.

If you have an MBA or Masters in Accounting, your journey towards qualifying as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) could be fast-tracked, thanks to the Masters Gateway route. The Masters Gateway means you’ll only have to take two case study exams and three objective tests to complete the CIMA Professional Qualification.

No matter what your qualifications or previous experience, you could start studying with CIMA to become a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and take the first step to a fulfilling career in business or finance. If you already have some accounting experience, you might be eligible for exemptions and will qualify more quickly.
