Area Honorary Officers

Paul Denhart -

Paul Denhart joined Shell from school and with the support of his line manager, studied for CIMA mainly by correspondence course and passed all exams first time, being admitted as a member in 1983.  His career took him overseas to Brunei, Cameroon and Holland in increasingly senior finance roles.  Leaving the oil industry, he moved into soft commodities with positions in Nigeria and Cameroon, now moving into general management.  After the collapse of the parent company while in Cameroon, he joined Blue Circle, subsequently acquired by Lafarge in 2001, and moved back to Nigeria into an ERP project management role, which was to set foundation for later career moves.  From Nigeria he moved to South Africa in a regional management role and then back to Nigeria as the Managing Director of a cement packing plant.  After three years he rejoined the ERP programme in Morocco, until redundancy in 2011 forced a career direction rethink.  In 2012 he started free-lance ERP project management through his own company and is still working in this field.  Paul briefly worked on the Central Southern England Committee in the 1990s and has been part of the South East Area Committee since 2013.  He aims to provide interesting events which support CPD and provide fora for meeting new people.
