Shane Balzan, Senior Director, Syllabus Development, MA unit, Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. Shane, holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from The University of Western Australia. After graduating, Shane went on to join the Vice Chancellery office at The University of Western Australia. He then went on to join Kaplan Financial, where he was responsible for training Chartered Accountants. Previously, Shane also worked for the Bank of New York, in London and Dublin, within Investment Funds Administration. Shane is currently part of the Education management team in the Management Accounting unit of the Association. He leads on assessment strategy development and oversees CIMA’s syllabus.  

Robert Jasiński FCMA, CGMA, Executive Director Business Controling, PKN ORLEN S.A since 2008. Responsible for increasing the value of group: improvement business performance, M&A, cash-out management, subsidiaries supervision, strategy (including crude oil supply), MBO system.  Board member of subsidiaries in Sweden and Lithuania, member of Supervisory Board of subsidiaries in Poland, Germany and Czech Republic. Previously worked in telecommunication sector : France Telecom Group – TP S.A. and Netia Group. Started career at Price Waterhouse Sp. z o. o. Holds master’s degree in Cybernetics Economics and Computer Science and post-graduate studies in Marketing at the University of Łódź. Holds CGMA, CIMA, ACCA certificates.

 Aleksander Solski ACMA, CGMA, VP Finance Central & Eastern Europe, Unilever

Karol Bisek ACMA, CGMA, CFO of RBS Bank (Polska) S.A., banking subsidiary of NatWest Markets plc. Previously working in The Royal Bank of Scotland shared service center, Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. and Agora S.A. Main areas of his focus are: developing finance teams, optimal use of technology in finance, continuous improvement of processes.

Mira Mech is a GBS Site Lead for AkzoNobel and former head of F&A Operations in Accenture [1000+]. Being a NewTech enthusiast she established the culture of RPA and AI for Accenture Operations that resulted in continuous supply of automation ideas. She cares not only for delivering up to today’s expectations but for building the future workforce of relevant and engaged specialists where nobody will have to leave their hears at home when leaving for work. Privately, a mom of 4 yo twins and a traveller.

Bartek Ostrowski, UBS Head of Group Finance and Senior Delivery Head for EMEA-PolandHarvard Business School and Cambridge University graduate. Previously managed UBS Wealth Management Finance teams and worked in Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory as Partner at Decius Equity, in Private Equity at Cooper Wallace in London/EMEA and as Director and Vice-President in Capital Markets & European Policy Advisory at Chatham Financial. Started career at Deutsche Bank in London within Global Banking.


  • Konstantinos Vairlis, Chief Financial Officer, Coca-Cola HBC Polska. Holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University, UK. Joined Coca-Cola HBC (one of the largest Worldwide bottlers of products of The Coca-Cola Company, listed in London Stock Exchange - FTSE100) in 2002 as Internal Auditor in Head Office Vienna, held several different roles both at HO & countries and managed several operational, processes’ transformations and financial analysis support projects in more than 20 different countries in CEE. He started his career back in 1999, where he worked for Arthur Andersen as Risk Consultant.Before joining CCHBC Poland as Finance Director during November 2017, he was the CFO of the Hungarian operation since August 2014. Before that he was the Commercial Finance Manager of CCHBC Island of Ireland, since March 2012, responsible for revenue growth management. Currently he is leaving in Warsaw with his wife Sanja and 2 daughters.
