1: How does it feel to pass your CIMA exam/s?
Over the Moon!

2: What was your chosen study method? Why did this work best for you?
I have tried and tested almost all study options available. I used classroom tuition based learning and self-study for the Certificate level, and different online learning options for the other levels. I have also used recommended study materials, which is a must have and free resources from CIMA connect. Currently, I am self-studying, complementing this with online revision webinars and regularly practicing mock exams, which I feel is working well for my preparation for the Strategic case study exam. Although this does require a high level of self-discipline and commitment compared to other study methods. An appealing quality of the CIMA qualification is that it doesn't tie you up into a specific method of studying. You can try, test and choose whatever works for you.

3: What did you find the biggest challenge and how did you overcome this?
Time management was a challenging task during the exam. I made sure to do enough revision and practice mock exams before I took an exam to get familiar with the exam structure and platform.

4: How did you balance studying with work and your personal life?
I love planning my engagements ahead. It gives me the flexibility to accommodate new engagements without disturbing my study schedule. Being a highly organized person, the CIMA study planner is my new favourite tool to get my studies on track. In addition, choosing my study options wisely has helped me balance studying, with work and personal life.

5: If you could give one key piece of advice to another student scheduling their exam tomorrow, what would it be?
Passing is not about how well you have learned the syllabus. It also depends on how well you utilize that 90 minutes or 3 hours available to you. Familiarizing yourself with the exam platform is key as it helps you worry less about the functions and concentrate more on the questions. The 15-minute pre-exam tutorial is a blessing, as you can get familiar with the platform, use that time to pen down key points, formulas, and relax. You can also find the option to practice the Pearson VUE  exam platform on the CIMA website, so take advantage of it!
