Master in Strategic Management Accounting (MSMA)

The Master in Strategic Management Accounting (MSMA) programme is a two in one qualification offered by the Faculty of Accountancy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). The MSMA program is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Graduates of this program will be awarded with a master’s degree and the CGMA Professional Qualification (upon successful completion of the CIMA’s CGMA Strategic Case Study course). CIMA graduates will be able to become Associate/Fellow CIMA members and will also obtain the Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA) designation, upon fulfilling the professional membership requirements.

Duration
Full time – 1 ½ years
Part time – 2 years 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (Honours) from UiTM or any Institution of Higher Learning (recognized by UiTM Senate and accredited by CIMA) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00; or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (Honours) from UiTM or any Institution of Higher Learning (recognized by UiTM Senate and accredited by CIMA) with a minimum CGPA of 2.80 with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (Honours) from UiTM or any Institution of Higher Learning with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and a minimum working experience of 6 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in the Business-related fields (or equivalent) from UiTM or any Institution of Higher Learning (recognized by UiTM Senate) with a minimum CGPA of 3.30.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the Business-related fields (or equivalent) from UiTM or any Institution of Higher Learning (recognized by UiTM Senate) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and a minimum working experience of 6 years.
  • Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CPA (Australia), MICPA, ICAEW, ICAS or other equivalent Professional Accounting Qualification from the Accounting Bodies) recognized by UiTM Senate.
