CIMA Ireland will host an interactive event on Thursday 20 February in Stormont Parliament Buildings, Belfast.
How the Public Sector Finance Function is keeping up to date with the changes facing it.
Rebecca McCaffry Associate Technical Director — Management Accounting, CIMA will deliver the findings on the paper entitled 'The Changing Shape of Finance'. This will be followed by Mark Ripley, Director, Risk and Assurance at the Government Finance Function and Ministry of Justice who will share the view of the Government Finance Function and talk about how they are currently implementing a new strategy to transform the role of finance in Government.
Moderator John Campbell, Economics & Business Editor, BBC Northern Ireland, will facilitate a panel discussion of experts, including Richard Pengelly, Permanent Secretary of Department of Health, who will provide their views, perspectives and opinions on the changing requirements for both roles and skills within the finance function and identify what new skills employees will require. This interactive discussion will aim to highlight the changing world of finance and the impact of digitalization on the Public Sector.
