The awareness of how companies can prepare for and deal with (future) crises has grown considerably. Managers increasingly understand that external shocks like 9/11, the 2008/2009 financial crisis and – in particular – the current COVID-19 pandemic may not be so uncommon after all and that they are unlikely to correctly anticipate the next disruptive shock. Companies need to invest in organizational resilience.
During this online session, Prof. Dr. Utz Schäffer, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, will develop an in-depth understanding of organizational resilience and provide a clear roadmap illustrating how managers and controllers can prepare their organization for the next crisis.
Prof. Dr. Utz Schäffer is a full professor of Management Accounting and Control at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany, and Director of the Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC).
In addition to the Q & A session during the web conference, there will be the opportunity to talk to the speaker after the session.
