IBCS® Standards: What management accountants can learn from musicians?

Speaker: Jürgen Faisst

Event for CIMA members and students and selected contacts of cooperation partner WHU

Imagine what would happen if every composer from Mozart to Gershwin used a different notation system. Could the musicians quickly interpret the music?

Meanwhile, in business there are many different layouts of reports, presentations or visualizations, even within one company. International Business Communication Standards (IBCS®) lead to faster, better and less expensive results in business communication and at all stages of decision-making processes. IBCS® are practical proposals for the design of reports, presentations, dashboards and the diagrams and tables contained therein. This involves the conception of the content, the visual perception and the application of a semantic notation.
