The Monash-CIMA collaboration provides a fast track route for postgraduate students from Monash to acquire both a Master of Accounting degree and the CIMA professional qualification at the same time.
The aim of the programme is to prepare eligible Master of accounting students for a challenging career as qualified professional accountants and allow them to gain professional membership as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA®).
Students will be allowed to sit for CIMA’s strategic case study exam upon either providing proof that all Monash Master's exams have been passed or upon graduation.
After passing the Strategic Case Study exam and completing the Master's programme, students will only need to submit three years' practical experience to apply for CIMA membership and gain both the ACMA and CGMA designations.
This agreement is a first for CIMA in Australia and we are proud to collaborate with Monash University, which is ranked in the top 1% of the world’s universities.
