The UN Biodiversity Conference (COP15) brought representatives of 188 governments to Montreal, Canada 7–19 December 2022, leading to the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), a landmark agreement that aims to protect and restore nature by 2050. Global biodiversity goals within the GBF will now be translated into national and business targets to make them easier to integrate into mainstream economic activity.
