Financial Forecasting: Planning for success
Stephen Aldridge, Managing Director of Numeritas Ltd, is a CIMA qualified accountant and MBA. He has spent the last 20 years focusing on financial forecasting and analysis, initially at KPMG and Deloitte, joining specialist consulting firm Numeritas in 2004.  Since then Numeritas has advised many funds, banks and companies, including several FTSE 350 companies on forecasting, modelling and data analysis. Stephen trained Microsoft’s Excel development team in Redmond in financial modelling and is leading an industry initiative to promote best practice in financial modelling.

Influencing skills
Everyone has to have difficult conversations at some point in their lives.  Whether it is pointing out a challenging colleague’s need for performance improvement or telling a relative they aren’t invited to the wedding!   This presentation led by Heather Wright, director at Advance Performance, will tell you how to prepare to ensure your conversation expresses what you want to say in a honest and palatable way and makes sure you are understood.

The Commercial Value of a Great Experience
Can delivering a great experience, improve the commercial value of your organisation? Well, companies who deliver a great customer experience, on average have a stock value 43% higher than those who don’t!

They attract more customers and keep them for longer. They spend less on their marketing and operating costs, whilst growing market share. They can sell their products at a premium without discounting or eroding their margins. And they stand out from the competition in crowded marketplaces, where product and price are so similar.
So how do you become one of those companies?
In this 90-minute presentation, best-selling author, Craig McVoy,will run through the key principles you need to introduce in order to attract those financial gains in your business.

Recording your CPD - how to use the Competency And Learning website
Rebecca Trebble will guide you through.

Accounting for operational risk
This session will take the form of round table discussions facilitated by Steve Bott to discuss how the role of management accountant should evolve in the future, adapt to changing circumstances and improve value. But improving operational performance is inherently uncertain, with projects frequently being subjected to unexpected changes, time delays and cost overruns.
How can you balance operational uncertainty with financial rigour in your business and still ensure that things get done?
