Financial accounting refresher for management accountants 2

Refresh and extend your double entry understanding

Who should attend?

The second of two courses for the management accountant who is being dragged kicking and screaming back to the world of all things financial accounting, having perhaps forgotten how these accounts things are bolted together.

What you will gain

This course builds on the double entry understanding gained on Financial accounting refresher for management accountants 1. Whereas the first course was a gentle reintroduction to the world of double entry bookkeeping to make sure we have a firm foundation for accounts production, we now start to consider the next layer of complexity, from the trial balance through to the final accounts; look at the analysis of the financial statements and the process and terminology around the consolidation of accounts.

This course will therefore cover such things as control accounts, bank reconciliations, the valuation and accounting for inventory as well as having a look at the final financial accounts and providing a reminder of the benefits and drawbacks of such things as ratio analysis.

It is intended to be a fun interactive day with exercises to remind you of the various terms and acronyms that surround the world of financial accounting and double entry.

Financial accounting refresher for management accountants 1 and 2 can be attended together, or either can be attended separately, depending on your level of need.

  • Stock adjustments
