Apply to become a Training Partner

CIMA Training Partner accreditation is available to any employer who meets the foundation standards for the training of CIMA students.

Any employer employing or intending to employ CIMA students can also apply to become a Training Partner.

CIMA Training Partner accreditation is awarded for three years for employers with CIMA students and 12 months for employers without any CIMA students. This helps employers seeking to recruit CIMA students by recognising the support mechanisms they already have in place.

Apply to become a Training Quality Partner

The CIMA Training Quality Partner accreditation is awarded for three years and is available to any employer who can demonstrate that they meet:

  • The foundation standards for the training of CIMA students
  • The quality standards for student training including the four key input measures listed in our brochure

CIMA Training Quality Partner applications are usually assessed in a face to face meeting with a member of CIMA staff. During the meeting we will work with the employer to establish how the organisation meets the quality standards for the training of CIMA students.

You will need to provide the following information for your application:

  • Application form
  • Code of conduct/ethics
  • Training/study policy
  • Example appraisal document from a CIMA student
  • Example of a personal development/study/training plan for a CIMA student

If you wish to become a Training Quality Partner or renew your accreditation, please complete the application form and self-assessment form and send them to CTD@aicpa-cima.com along with your supporting documentation.

Apply to become a Development Quality Partner

CIMA Development Quality Partner accreditation recognises employers who help CIMA members maintain and increase their professional competence through relevant, planned and continuous development.

The CIMA Development Quality Partner accreditation is awarded for three years and is available to any employer who can demonstrate that they meet:

  • The foundation standards for the development of CIMA members
  • The quality standards for member development

Development Quality Partner applications are also assessed by a member of CIMA staff who will work with the employer to establish how the organisation meets the quality standards for member development.

  • Application form
  • Code of ethics/conduct
  • Learning and development policy
  • Example appraisal document from a CIMA member
  • Example personal development plan from a CIMA member

Apply to become a Premier Partner

Employers applying for both CIMA Training Quality Partner and CIMA Development Quality Partner accreditation automatically qualify for Premier Partner status. If you wish to become a Premier Partner or renew your accreditation, please complete the application form and self-assessment form and send them to CTD@aicpa-cima.com along with your supporting documentation. 

Premier partner applications can also be assessed in a face to face meeting during which a member of CIMA staff will work with the employer to establish how the organisation meets the quality standards for both the training of CIMA students and development of CIMA members.
