It is a sharp, intelligent and insightful radio show offering listeners that bit more in the morning'.
"This is a new venture for CIMA and one of a new range of initiatives to expand our promotional activities in Ireland. It is a sponsorship that allows CIMA to communicate to employers, potential students and existing members and students the key message that CIMA means business", he said.
Elaine Geraghty, Newstalk 106-108 FM CEO, stated 'We are delighted to have the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants sponsoring our flagship morning offering. From 6.30am, The Breakfast Show offers strong news, business and sport delivered in a fresh style'.
CIMA is responsible for the education and training of management accountants who work in industry, commerce, not-for-profit and public sector organisations.
What makes CIMA different from other professional accounting bodies is its role in training and developing not only finance professionals but also in providing non-finance staff in areas such as IT, HR and marketing with a knowledge and understanding of business, accounting, ethics and corporate governance.
The focus on business strategy and management differentiates CIMA from other professional accounting qualifications.
CIMA began life in 1919 as the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants and opened its doors in Dublin in 1988 with just 800 members. Over the past decade it has increased its membership to 3500 members. It is now one of the largest international accountancy bodies with ten offices worldwide, representing 158,000 members and students in 161 countries.
