Practical experience requirements
You need a minimum of three years' relevant work based practical experience (PER) before becoming a chartered management accountant (ACMA, CGMA).
Relevant experience may have been gained before registering as a student.
Key areas
Experience may be drawn from any of the following three areas over a period of 3 years or more (but a minimum of 18 months must be gained within the core area).
