Managing responsible business

In March 2008 CIMA, together with the Institute of Business Ethics (IBE), surveyed finance professionals about their attitudes to ethical standards. 1,300 responses were received (7.8%), 51% of which were from professionals based in the UK, and 70% of which were from those who work in the private sector.

This research, part of CIMA's responsible business programme, sees finance professionals outline how they are involved in managing their organisation’s ethical performance. 84% said that business has a moral obligation to help address global issues such as climate change and poverty.
