It is clear that the Apprenticeship levy will bring substantial changes to the way apprenticeships will be funded and with this in mind, the new Apprenticeship standards are continually being developed with a focus on employers being key to their development.
Although it has not been confirmed, CIMA’s Higher Apprenticeship in Management Accounting could cease to receive funding under the new apprenticeship funding criteria. To ensure employers receive access to funding for CIMA apprentices we are working with employers and other professional accounting bodies in 2 Trailblazer steering groups:
- Professional Accounting and Tax Technician Apprenticeship Standard (Level 4)
- Professional Accountant Apprenticeship Standard (Level 7)
CIMA has also been consulted in relation to the Junior Management Consultant Apprenticeship Standard.
If you are an employer and would like further information on CIMA’s involvement in Trailblazers and the development of Apprenticeship Standards, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
