Regulation and best practice
CIMA regulates its members to ensure compliance with best practice and to protect the public. CIMA itself is overseen by a number of external regulators to ensure all students and members are working to the highest set of standards and ethical behaviour.
It is the responsibility of each student and member to ensure they comply with both CIMA's regulations and any specific regulations and legislation as required by their country of residence. CIMA's professional standards and conduct department works towards upholding regulatory compliance and best practice by CIMA members.
This section will inform you about CIMA's regulations, its code of ethics, global legislation, and CIMA's relationship with IFAC and FEE. Information can also be found on CIMA's professional conduct processes, from complaints to dispute resolution.
Our charter, byelaws and member and council regulations can be found in our standards and legislation section.
