Welcome to GBC 2012 Hong Kong

Last year, team Dreams from The University of Hong Kong represented Hong Kong at the global final in Chengdu, China.

How does the competition work?

Each team will have to go through a few stages before earning a place at the global final in Sri Lanka.

Stage 1: report writing and submission

Five teams will be shortlisted to proceed to the Hong Kong regional final.

Stage 2: Hong Kong regional final
Winning team will proceed to the global final.

Stage 3: global final
The GBC global final will be held on 23- 24 July 2012 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Prizes for the Hong Kong final

The winning team will win a trip to Sri Lanka to represent their university and country / region at the GBC 2012 global final. Prizes will be awarded to winners at local level as well as global level.

Submission method:
Five printed copies of your report with soft copies (in MS word 2003 format) saved on a CD must be posted or brought in person to the CIMA Hong Kong office at the address found in the 'contact us' section to the right of the page.
All reports must reach the CIMA Hong Kong office no later than Tuesday 20 March 2012 5:30pm

Required format of the report

The report must also be submitted as below:

1. The report must not exceed 3,000 words, stapled on the top left hand side corner.  Acknowledgement of receipt of report will be sent to all teams by email;
2. Format of the report: left aligned, 1.5 line spacing, 12 point Arial with 1 inch margin on all sides and single sided. Graphs, charts and tables related to the topic can be regarded as appendices.;
3. The report should have a cover page that indicates:
   - name of the university
   - team name
   - names of all team members
   - email addresses and telephone numbers of all team members
   - report title
4. Names and contact information (including team name, team members’ names, name of university, email addresses, telephone number, etc) should NOT be shown in any of the pages in the report, except on the cover page
