- the basic information to be found on profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and accompanying notes
- the use of key accounting ratios in analysing the solvency and profitability of a business
- revenue recognition and profit manipulation
- recognition and measurement of assets and liabilities
- margins
- asset return ratios
- interest cover
- gearing
- current ratios and working capital management
- ROE and ROCE
- quality of asset backing
- intangibles vs tangibles, with or excluding market revaluations
- cash flow analysis and conversion of profit to cash.
The programme will start with registration and coffee from 9.00am on day one, and run from 9.30am to 5.00pm each day. Lunch and refreshments are provided. The programme is not residential.
