CIMA has published its May 2011 results, which mark the third global session of exams of the new 2010 syllabus.
There were some strong performances from around the world, particularly at the strategic level, where the global pass rates increased for all three papers when compared to November 2010. The average range of pass rates was maintained for all other papers.
Prizewinners and commendations in individual papers included students employed by BSkyB, Deloitte, Ernst & Young and UBS.
Robert Jelly, executive director of education at CIMA, said: ‘CIMA is pleased to note these strong global student performances, which prove that dedication and study can produce exemplary results. These students are on their way to becoming the international business talent of the future and joining the ranks of our high profile members around the world.’
Examination results letters will include a breakdown of marks by question. This, together with the post exam guides, will provide students and tutors with valuable feedback.
CIMA has been working with quality learning partners to expand CIMA’s examination capacity and availability to provide stakeholders with greater choice and flexibility. The March 2011 exam session was expanded as a pilot in the UK to allow a resit opportunity for students to sit papers P1, P2, E2 and F2 and the strategic level papers E3, P3 and F3, together with T4 part B case study on PC.
Due to the continued success of the pilot, a similar resit exam session will be offered in September 2011 to include papers E1 and F1, so all ten papers in the professional qualification will be available. T4 part B case study on PC will continue to be available for first time and resitting students.
CIMA will look to extend this pilot in the future to benefit all of our stakeholders in more markets.
Students have access to a wide range of free study support resources through our student section, along with student emagazine Velocity and our online community, CIMAsphere.
