Speaker profiles


Ray Perry
Ray joined CIMA as Director of Brand in 2002, and is responsible for marketing, technical activity, courses and conferences, business development, communications and magazines.

Prior to this, Ray was Director of Corporate Marketing at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world’s largest marketing organisation. Ray has been a professional marketer for more than 20 years and has represented marketing and strategy on TV, in the press and on public platforms.

Rick Sturge
Rick joined CIMA as Director of Employer and Strategic Development in 2007. He is a qualified accountant and has over 20 years’ experience of senior finance, commercial and business development roles, in a range of service organisations.

Trained with Coopers & Lybrand, Rick is an outsourcing specialist with cross industry experience, working for Serco, BT and the BPO operations within PwC and Accenture.

Jeff Grout
Formerly UK Managing Director of Robert Half International, Jeff Grout is now an independent business consultant specialising in leadership, team performance, recruitment and retention issues.

He holds a number of corporate advisory and executive coaching appointments and acts as Business Manager to Sir Clive Woodward. A successful business author he is in much demand as a motivational speaker.

Terry Archer
Since joining Ford in 1995, Terry Archer, Manager European Audit has held a variety of positions, including finance positions in Accounting, Manufacturing, Marketing & Sales and Product Development. 

He has also gained international experience from working in Germany and Turkey. He is a fellow of CIMA and has chaired Ford’s CIMA steering committee since 2007.       

Dave Mack
Dave Mack, Manager of Revenue Process Development within the finance function at Ford, joined the company in 1988.

In the UK, he has held a range of positions across various functions including Product Development and Marketing and Sales, and most recently spent three years as Purchase Controller for Ford of Europe, based in Germany, returning to the UK in the middle of 2007. He is a fellow of CIMA and chaired Ford’s CIMA steering committee for four years until 2007.

Ellie Oakes
Ellie is a unique blend of training and the rigour of an accountant with gregariousness, innovation and a huge appetite for change.

Her broad career encompasses a range of commercially-oriented finance roles including B&Q and British Gas, which have seen her lead impressive change projects. Ellie has ideas, imagination and innovation in abundance. Her trademarks are an enthusiasm to challenge and to experiment.

Tony Deans
Tony Deans FCCA is a Vice President at Capgemini Uk Plc with particular responsibility for shared services. In the last two years, he has worked with CIMA and Clive Hart to fundamentally change the personal development of both the company's student and qualified communities with a high degree of success.

Clive Hart
Clive Hart ACMA is the Financial Controller for Capgemini Consulting UK. He works along with CIMA to address the training needs of the Capgemini finance community. He also belongs to the CIMA Coventry and Warwickshire branch committee which focuses on providing additional training to members and students within that area. 

Alex Bush
Alex is the responsible for the NHS fast track Graduate Management Training Scheme comprising Finance, Human Resources, General Management and Informatics. Before into the NHS, she worked in healthcare organisations as a senior general manager, in HR and organisation development roles. With a passion for individual and organisational development. Alex is keen to ensure that the Graduate Scheme is ‘leading edge’, and provides an excellent learning experience for trainees to continue to provide the future leaders for the NHS.

Peter McDonald
Peter McDonald is the manager of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group Finance Graduate Development Programme. He is an HR Consultant with a background in managing HR projects ranging from Talent initiatives to Remuneration and Benefits work. Now specialising in Graduate recruitment he has previously worked in the Legal sector and holds CIPD membership.

Clare Haynes
Clare Haynes runs Wildfire where the strap line is 'Solving your work problems: Making work delicious.' Clare works with staff within companies, solving people issues to create 'positive politics' and making change management smooth and successful. Whether she’s developing leadership programmes, running workshops or coaching you 1-to-1, Clare injects her passion and spark for leveraging talent.
