CIMA means business
Choosing the right professional qualification for you and your career may be a difficult decision. Understanding what The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants offer may help you to decide the best route to chartered status.
Of all the accountancy qualifications, CIMA is the most relevant to business. It produces versatile professionals who have been assessed in a practical business setting and can apply their business skills in many different areas and roles. CIMA people go way beyond accountancy - they use finance skills to provide analysis, decision support, value creation and risk management.
Four out of ten CIMA Members work in diverse areas such as operations management, project management, Marketing, IT and management consulting and a variety of roles such as management accountant, business analysts, financial manager/director, director of business planning, operations director. The fast-track route to success
Your AAT Accounting Qualification will provide you with a faster route to obtaining chartered status and an exciting career in business. Once you have completed the AAT Technician/Diploma pathway level you will be entitled to exemptions from all five papers at the Certificate entry level, which means you can start studying for the CIMA Professional Qualification straightaway. Special arrangement for AAT students
We understand that you may not receive your Technician Stage documents from the AAT until after our registration and exemption deadlines - 31 January for the May exam sitting and 31 July for the November exams. We have therefore agreed with the AAT to provide a special service to AAT students who have completed Level Four/Technician Stage in December/June.
