Financial Reporting Council recruiting to AADB

08 December 2008

For CIMA members: the Financial Reporting Council - the UK's independent regulator for corporate reporting and governance - is recruiting a number of non executive members for the Accountancy & Actuarial Discipline Board (AADB).

The AADB is the independent investigative and discipline board for accountants and actuaries in the UK. The AADB schemes deal with cases of misconduct by accountants and accountancy firms, or actuaries, that involve important issues of public interest.

The board consists of lay and professional members. Its role is to decide whether individual cases should be investigated under one of its schemes, review the working of these schemes to ensure they are operating effectively, and to publicise its activities.

Appointments will be made for an initial period of up to three years and meetings of the board are held on a regular basis in London. AADB board members receive an annual fee and expenses are refunded.
