Accreditation through partnership
Accreditation of HE programmes
CIMA’s aim in formally accrediting academic programmes and in awarding exemptions is to recognise students’ academic success. We wish to avoid the need to reassess candidates who register with us . The CIMA accreditation kitemark increases the appeal of relevant academic programmes for new and prospective students looking for an accounting or business career.
When we accredit an academic programme and award exemptions, we want to make sure that these graduates will be able to progress to the next level of our examinations. We recognise that exemptions can be both a benefit and a risk to students and employers, and we do not want to disadvantage any students by giving inappropriate exemptions.
Our accreditation service uses guidelines to give instituions an indication of our expectations while supporting variety and innovation in courses.
