Detailed CV
This section of your Career Profile should provide a history of your relevant experience to date covering approximately five or six A4 pages in single line spacing.
The following information must be provided, starting with the earliest first, for each position held or specific role performed:
- name of employing organisation
- brief description of the organisation
- job title
- number of months spent in each position or role
- description of your duties and responsibilities - emphasising the application of management accounting techniques
- details of the work you have carried out - what you did, how you did it and the outcomes achieved.
Note: Although the terminology is likely to be similar, please don't use the practical experience requirements as headings to structure this section. Instead, please structure your description around key tasks you completed in each role. - degree of involvement - specifying whether you had sole responsibility for the task, participated as part of a team, or acted as an advisor - and to whom you reported.
The important thing to remember is that your detailed record of experience (extended CV) needs to read like a report showing how your roles meet the practical experience requirements. It needs to be more than just a list of bullet points. It must describe what you did, how you did it and the outcomes achieved. It is also important to show your level of responsibility so avoid phrases such as "assisted with" or "part of a team" but instead use phrases such as "I was responsible for ..." and detail your exact involvement.
