CPD policy and framework
CIMA’s new Professional Development scheme was launched on 1 January 2006 and requires ALL members to comply with the CPD Framework and Policy. Under the new scheme you will be required to formalise your professional development activities, in many cases activities that you already undertake on a regular basis, and ensure that you create and maintain an appropriate record which demonstrates that you have worked through the six stages of the Professional Development Cycle.
The new output-based scheme enables you to focus on developing the aspects of your roles which are relevant to you and meet the specific requirements of your role and own career aspirations rather than simply counting hours or units of development activities.
Further information and guidance about the policy, along with resources and access to online CPD Solutions are available from CIMA Professional Development.
