2007 Shanghai Quality Employer Partner Awards
Three Chinese companies were awarded the CIMA 2007 Quality Employer Partner Award at a ceremony held in Shanghai in November.
The three companies - ZTE, Li Ning and Lehman Brown – received the awards in recognition of their achievements in developing world class finance professionals.
CIMA chief executive Charles Tilley presented the annual employer award to the three company representatives. Other VIP guests in attendance included the British consul-general in Shanghai, the vice governor of Pudong New Area and the chairman of the Chinese Association of Chief Financial Officers.
Tilley said that it was inspiring to see such a high standard of winners this year. 'As the Chinese economy grows, and the demand for highly skilled finance professionals increases, CIMA hopes to help China create more highly skilled management accountants who help steer business to success,' he said.
The awards honour CIMA’s key employer partners who have been instrumental in developing China’s finance profession and promoting and developing management accounting.
ZTE is a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, while Li Ning Company leads domestic sports brand enterprises in the PRC. Using CIMA’s certification system, these corporations have cultivated high-quality, international financial professionals.
