Within the UK, CIMA's local area and branch network hosts a range of different events covering continuing professional development topics, technical updates, social and general networking events.
There are also events for students, like exam techniques. Local events are usually held in the evening at different locations in the UK. They are normally free, and open to members, students and their guests, although due to numbers, some may be open to CIMA members and students only.

CIMA Courses for Students includes events such as 'Applied Exam Techniques', an interactive one-day workshop providing hands-on expert advice on how to read, interpret and answer questions effectively and with confidence for exam success.
