My qualification is not on the database
If your qualification is not on the CIMA database but is in a relevant subject, you may eligible for some exemptions.
Based on your degree certificate and transcripts, your qualification will be assessed against a number of CIMA subject groupings. Each corresponds to a defined range of exemptions.
If we decide that your qualification falls in one of the relevant degree groupings, we will contact you about any exemptions awarded.
Please note that no Managerial or Strategic level exemptions will be awarded. Our graduate accelerated Route 2 page will give you more information about exemptions for non accreditated degrees.
My qualification is not on the database and not in a relevant subject
CIMA will not be able to exempt you from CIMA papers if your qualification does not fall into a relevant degree grouping, or is not relevant.
However, as a graduate, you should be able to complete the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting assessments in three to nine months.
Please note that you are still required to send us copies of your highest qualification certificates as part of registering as a CIMA student.
