Becoming a CIMA Practising Certificate Holder
All registered Members in Practice must apply for the Practising Certificate after one year and within three years of registration. The Practising Certificate will be awarded to successful applicants after a Panel of Assessors has reviewed their Practising Certificate application form.
There are a number of other reasons why you should become a Practising Certificate Holder, in addition to the regulatory requirement:
- Demonstrates to potential clients or interested parties you have met and continue to meet the high standards and regulations set by CIMA.
- Permits you to use the specially modified CIMA Practising Certificate Holder logo.
- Enhances your status on the CIMA website and allows potential clients to search for your details in the online database of CIMA Practising Certificate holders.
- Allows you to act, in certain circumstances, as a Reporting Accountant to sign off accounts at a higher threshold.
