Case study preparation
To pass the TOPCIMA exam you must be confident when applying your knowledge.
Like any exam, you are most likely to succeed if you prepare effectively.
We want to help you in your preparation so make sure that you do the following:
- Read Support Guides 11 ‘TOPCIMA Introduction’ and 12 ‘TOPCIMA – the assessment matrix’
- Read any relevant articles in our online article archive.
- Use a specific study text - such as the CIMA Learning System.Visit CIMA Publishing for more study materials and resources to support this subject.
- If possible, attend a taught classroom course
- Concentrate on developing the skills described in the assessment matrix – aiming at the ‘Clear pass’ level
- Practise – complete at least three case studies under exam conditions and review your answers carefully using the assessment matrix. Look at the post exam guides for more guidance. If you can, get your work marked by a tutor and ask for feedback.
- Download the pre-seen material as soon as we publish it on the website.
- Discuss the case with a tutor or colleagues – or visit our discussion boards and share ideas online with fellow students.
