CIMA senior appointments to marketing team

20 May 2008

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) is delighted to announce the promotion of Victoria Penman to Head of Brand and Marketing Services and the appointment of Susan Bassett as Principal Business Partner in International Marketing at its global headquarters in London.

Both positions have been newly created following a reorganisation of the Brand directorate and mark exciting times for CIMA as it continues to grow into new markets. Victoria Penman joined CIMA in 2005 and previously worked as Brand Marketing Manager and Susan joins CIMA from ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) where she was International Marketing Manager.

Before her promotion, Victoria Penman had been successful in attaining Superbrand status for CIMA for two years running. Victoria will continue to build on her accomplishments in this area by building and maintaining a strong CIMA brand presence throughout the world as the Institute continues to achieve its vision of chartered management accountants driving the world's successful organisations.

Susan's role has been created to aid international brand development. Susan will use her expertise to support CIMA's global markets and act as the primary link with Brand across employers, recruitment, and retention channels.

Ray Perry, Director of Brand at CIMA, said:

'Victoria's promotion and Susan;s appointment to the marketing team mark a very exciting time of growth and development for CIMA globally. Marketing plays a vital role when it comes to driving the value of the CIMA brand and supporting employees around the world so that they are able to deliver CIMA's strategy. I am confident that the wealth of experience held by both delegates will make a substantial contribution to the delivery of our ambitions.'
