Within the UK, CIMA's local area and branch network hosts a range of different events covering continuing professional development topics, technical updates, social and general networking events.

There are also events for students, like exam techniques. Local events are usually held in the evening at different locations in the UK. They are normally free, and open to members, students and their guests, although due to numbers, some may be open to CIMA members and students only.

CIMA CPD Technical Update

CIMA CPD Technical Updates are half-day events which offer an excellent means of updating yourself on a subject of a technical nature.   During 2008 the following topics are being addressed:

• risk management and disaster recovery
• charities - what’s new?
• fraud
• strategy.

CIMA CPD Technical Updates are open to CIMA members, students and their guests, with the CIMA members and students benefiting from discounted prices. 

Courses for students

CIMA Courses for Students includes events such as 'Applied Exam Techniques', an interactive one-day workshop providing hands-on expert advice on how to read, interpret and answer questions effectively and with confidence for exam success.

Breakfast briefings

CIMA brings you up-to-date with the hottest topics over breakfast, leaving you motivated to start your working day. Hear experts in their field, enjoy discussion with peers and colleagues and still be in the office by 10.30am.
