Investigation Committee
The Investigation Committee found a prima facie case for Mr Graham Brickstock ACMA to answer concerning allegations that he failed to inform the clients of additional costs when they arose, delayed billing for work he had carried out in 2004 until 2007, intended to charge for meeting to discuss a resolution, did not inform the clients of the internal complaints procedure until the final stage and informed his clients' new accountant that he would not be forwarding accounting records, tax returns and statutory accounts.
Pursuant to Members' Regulation 6.3 (iii) and Council Regulation 16, the Committee invited Mr Brickstock to consent to the imposition of a reprimand and payment of costs in the sum of £250 by way of 'consent order', without further proceedings, to which Mr Brickstock agreed. The Committee recorded a finding upholding the complaint, issuing an order for the imposition of a reprimand and payment of the costs.
