CIMA appoints new Divisional Director in Ireland

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) has appointed Denis McCarthy as Divisional Director for CIMA Ireland.
McCarthy joins CIMA from the MBA Association of Ireland, where he has been Chief Executive since 2001. He will be running the CIMA Ireland office and will focus on promoting the CIMA qualification to key stakeholders and building relationships with education partners and employers in the country.
CIMA has done much over the last few years to build a strong infrastructure in Ireland to deliver its services to customers more effectively, and has developed its qualification framework to better serve the needs of employers.
Charles Tilley, Chief Executive of CIMA said, ‘CIMA is delighted with the appointment of Denis McCarthy. Ireland is strategically a very important market for CIMA and is the second largest worldwide in terms of members. CIMA Ireland will continue to build on this success with the financial and business management skills Denis brings to the role.’
CIMA currently has more than 164,000 members and students across 161 countries around the world and represents almost 7,000 members and students in the Republic of Ireland.
