Assessment
We offer electronic assessment throughout the world.
Most assessment will take place in existing CIMA accredited assessment centres. If there is no centre near you, other locations such as student workplaces or consulates may be permitted, if they fulfil CIMA's accreditation and quality assurance processes.
Our list of CIMA accredited assessment centres gives you contact and address details for assessment centres around the world (PDF 68KB). You can also contact cert.if@cimaglobal.com to find out if there is a centre near you, or for more information about nominating a new assessment centre.
Final examination
You will need to pass an electronic final assessment in all four modules to gain the certificate.
The examinations are computer based and can be taken at CIMA accredited assessment centres throughout the world, as discussed above.
Assessment structure
Each module's assessment will be made up of between 40 and 50 multiple choice questions depending on the module's assessment criteria. The maximum time allowed for each of the four assessments is one hour.
Assessment feedback
Students receive immediate feedback and results. Once you have completed the assessment and submit it electronically, you will receive your exam mark. On passing the assessment, you will also automatically receive a certificate of completion.
Attempts
Students can sit each assessment as many times as it takes to pass. Once you have passed, you will not be able to repeat the assessment in that subject.
Students will have two attempts at each module assessment as part of the certificate package purchase price. Any subsequent attempts at an assessment cost £60 each.
