Council member required - casual vacancy in electoral constituency 12
Notice is given that, as the council member in electoral constituency 12 (South East England), George Glass, was elected vice president at the June 2008 annual general meeting, a new candidate is sought to represent the constituency on Council.
The casual vacancy will last until the close of the AGM 2009, as prescribed by byelaw 39(b). At the close of the AGM 2009 the successful candidate may stand for re-election for a further three year term in accordance with byelaw 38. Nominations for candidates (Fellows) to fill this casual vacancy may be made by any six or more members (three of whom must be Fellows) whose registered addresses are in electoral constituency 12.
Nomination forms for candidates for election have been attached together with further details regarding the ballot process and the role of a council member. Forms may also be obtained from Erica Lee, head of secretariat at CIMA (020 8849 2506 / erica.lee@cimaglobal.com ). Nominations must be received on the prescribed form by the chief executive at 26 Chapter Street, London SW1P 4NP by midday on Friday 26 August 2008 (faxes are acceptable, but must be followed by the signed original). If more than one candidate is nominated for the vacancy, a postal and online ballot will be conducted.
