Exemptions and accelerated routes
You may be eligible for some exemptions from the CIMA exams if you have studied a relevant qualification.

Please note that exemptions are a concession and are only awarded at CIMA's discretion. You can study for the CIMA qualification even if you don't have a relevant qualification. However, you should have a good standard of English and maths.

Relevant educational backgrounds
For more information about the exemptions available for your existing qualification, please select from the following list:
- I am a graduate and have successfully completed a qualification at degree or postgraduate level
- I am an AAT student or member
- I have completed the Open University Certificate in Accounting
- I have completed, or am currently studying, a professional qualification.

You will be charged an exemption fee for each exemption awarded to you. These fees are the same as the exam fees for that subject.
