Will there be publicity about the complaint?

Answer

All decisions of the Investigation, Disciplinary and Appeal Committees concerning a complaint against a member or registered student - which has been upheld – will be:

  • notified in writing to both the Respondent and Complainant.
  • published in CIMA’s journals.
  • published on CIMA’s website.
  • circulated to Accountancy Age and two quality newspapers.
  • circulated to all the CCAB (Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies) Institutes.
  • circulated, where appropriate, to regional newspapers and other interested parties such as local Trading Standards Officers.
