Researchers
CIMA is a world-leading authority on management accounting. CIMA research has a specific objective to promote and develop the science of management accounting, as stipulated by our charter.
We sponsor research projects, conferences and professorships. We also ensure that all published research is made available as widely as possible - for example, through online publication, articles in CIMA's Financial Management magazine and a print on demand format issued by CIMA's publisher and distribution at numerous events. In essence, we aim to support research that will make a real difference to the work of management accountants worldwide.

CIMA research initiatives 2008
Seedcorn funding initiative
CIMA's seedcorn funding research initiative provides an opportunity for both developing researchers and researchers looking to develop new ideas to submit research proposals. CIMA recognises that it can be difficult for developing researchers to obtain funding through the normal application process and for researchers to fully evaluate the feasibility of a research idea without undertaking preliminary investigations. With these two issues in mind, CIMA welcomes proposals. Full details (PDF 65KB) are available.
Seedcorn funding application forms (DOC 68KB) are available to download. Please also read the guidance notes (PDF 46KB) for the initiative before submitting an application.
