How is business value realised using enterprise web 2.0 and cloud technologies? How exactly do such tools promote productivity and innovation? There are just two of the questions to be explored at a free half day conference hosted in London by CIMA in association with Microsoft on Monday 13 June.
This event has already created attention on our blogs, with three speakers contributing posts on the topic. In the process they raise further questions, such as: how does collaboration take root in hierarchical organisations? Will it be a smooth transition or do we have a bumpy road ahead?
There will be two keynote talks – one from leading commentator Dennis Howlett on 'the no nonsense business case for cloud accounting' and another from Charles Ravenhill on 'enterprise 2.0 and business intelligence – business driver or culture clash?'
We'll also get a first look at new research into collaborative tools and technologies in the workplace and their relevance to management accounting. This research was commissioned by the CIMA charitable trust and will be launched at the event.
In turn, attendees will have a chance to quiz a panel of enterprise 2.0 practitioners and experts from BT, Microsoft, Huddle, BAE Systems, Broadsight, Manchester Business School and more.
